CT "Drive Only" Driver's License Program for Undocumented Individuals

The Department of Motor Vehicles has a new "Drive Only" Driver's License Program, set to begin January 2, 2015. The Drive Only program is designed to achieve the public safety goals of encouraging undocumented drivers to learn the rules of the road and how to drive safely by obtaining a Drive Only license.

If the person has the documents necessary to be eligible, they can then schedule an appointment solely through DMV’s online system to take the knowledge test and obtain a Drive Only Adult Learner Permit.
